When “Medical Cyan” Turned Out to Be Bahama Blue

Sometimes, even a color can teach a lesson in teamwork, precision, and perspective.
At Slincas Technologies, we recently had one of those “wait—what?” moments while building our Staff Portal on Lovable.dev.
The source code described one of our theme colors as Medical Cyan. But when the team looked at the portal, all we could see was a bright, unmistakable yellow. 🌞
Cue an internal debate: Was it Yellow? Mustard? Citrine?
Our developer, James Khup, decided to investigate using a Chrome extension called ColorZilla. He hovered the eyedropper over every part of the dashboard — the “yellow” header, the “blue” sidebar — and revealed the truth.
💻 Actual RGB values:
Yellow:
rgb(255, 255, 0)— pure, textbook yellow.Blue:
rgb(4, 138, 211)— not Medical Cyan, but Bahama Blue. 🌊
What began as a lighthearted design puzzle became a small but meaningful reminder of how we work at Slincas:
We question what we see.
We validate what we assume.
And we collaborate to find clarity, whether in color codes or care workflows.
In health tech, as in design, the smallest details can hold the biggest insights. And that’s what makes building Slincas both humbling and joyful.
