Ekko Medical Is Now Integrated with Plato Medical: Connecting Patient Communication to the Clinical Workflow
Ekko
Patient communication shouldn't become another silo. Our first EMR integration is an important step toward connecting conversations, clinical teams and the patient record.
When we started building Ekko Medical, our focus was patient communication.
But as we spent more time speaking with doctors, clinic managers and front desk teams, we learned something important:
Improving communication alone isn't enough. It has to fit into the way a clinic already works.
That insight has shaped our product roadmap—and today we're excited to share an important milestone.
Ekko Medical is now integrated with Plato Medical, our first EMR integration.
Why EMR Integration Matters
Clinics already use multiple systems every day.
There may be an EMR for patient records and appointments, WhatsApp for patient communication, email for other correspondence, and separate tools for internal coordination.
Adding another standalone communication platform can easily create another silo.
That's exactly what we don't want Ekko to become.
When we asked clinicians what would make Ekko genuinely useful in their day-to-day workflow, EMR integration came up repeatedly.
Their message was clear:
Don't give us another system to manage. Make it work with the systems we already use.
We listened.
Why Plato Medical?
Plato Medical is an established cloud-based clinic management and EMR platform used by more than 4,000 healthcare providers across Singapore, Australia and the Asia-Pacific region.
For many clinics, the EMR sits at the center of daily operations—supporting patient records, appointments, billing and other essential workflows.
By connecting Ekko with Plato, we're beginning to bridge two parts of the patient journey that have traditionally existed separately:
the conversation with the patient and the clinical record behind it.
